Mr. Ong earned an Engineering Degree with Honours from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and an MBA from Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. He also holds multiple professional certifications in Project Management (APM, PMP, PRINCE2) and Risk Management (PMI-RMP, MoR-OGC, CPRM-NUS).
He joined Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh PLC (formerly known as HeidelbergCement Bangladesh Ltd.) as Plant Manager in May 2004. He subsequently served as Director Plants and Technical Director before being appointed Managing Director on 01 September 2024. His key responsibilities include overseeing production, driving strategic growth, ensuring profitability, managing operations, optimizing efficiency, leading expansion projects, engaging stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and fostering a strong organizational culture to retain and develop talent.
Before joining Heidelberg Materials Group, he gained experience working at G&W Industries Pte Ltd, Jurong Cement Limited, and Mobil Oil, Singapore.

Director of the Company since 2006, concurrently he is responsible as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company since 2006. He is also looking after the IT function of the Company. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). He has been working for the Company in different roles since November 2001.

Kazi Md. Mainuddin Sayem is a Bangladeshi citizen, born on 18th April, 1982. He joined HeidelbergCement Bangladesh Ltd as Director, Marketing & Sales on 8th October, 2023.
Mr. Sayem is a seasoned Bangladeshi sales & marketing professional having extensive experience in different industries for more than 16 years. In his diversified career, he has worked in FMCG, telecommunications, banking and automobiles sector. He is specialized in managing sales for B2B & B2C channel, product development, brand marketing, business transformation and people development. Over last one and half decade, he has worked for some global multinational giants like Nestle, ROBI Axiata Ltd, IPDC Finance, CEAT and Perfetti Van Melle.
Mr. Sayem completed his graduation in Business Administration from Khulna University and MBA from North South University.

He started his career with GlaxoSmithkline Bangladesh and worked there in different capacities which includes global project management, training & development, administration, risk management, performance & talent management, safety & health management, industrial relations for 15 years. Just before joining HC Bangladesh, he had worked as Group HR Head in Regency Garments Ltd. He completed his Master’s in Management from University of Chittagong and MBA in Finance from International Islamic University, Chittagong. He also did his Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Bangladesh Institute of Management.

In 2008 He started his Career after he enrolled himself as an Advocate in Bangladesh BAR Council. His Corporate Journey started with TRANSCOM Limited in 2009. He is also an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Mr. Khan completed his LL.B (Hon’s) and LL.M (Master of Laws) from University of Chittagong. He holds special knowledge and experience on Food Laws, Customs laws, Environmental Laws, Labor Laws etc. and also has specialties in Litigation Management, Contract Management and Corporate Compliance.
