He joined Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh PLC (formerly known as HeidelbergCement Bangladesh Ltd.) as Plant Manager in May 2004. He subsequently served as Director Plants and Technical Director before being appointed Managing Director on 01 September 2024. Mr. Sayem is a seasoned Bangladeshi sales & marketing professional having extensive experience in different industries for more than 16 years. In his diversified career, he has worked in FMCG, telecommunications, banking and automobiles sector. He is specialized in managing sales for B2B & B2C channel, product development, brand marketing, business transformation and people development. Over last one and half decade, he has worked for some global multinational giants like Nestle, ROBI Axiata Ltd, IPDC Finance, CEAT and Perfetti Van Melle.

Just before joining HC Bangladesh, he had worked as Group HR Head in Regency Garments Ltd. He completed his Master’s in Management from University of Chittagong and MBA in Finance from International Islamic University, Chittagong. He also did his Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Bangladesh Institute of Management.

Mr. Khan is a seasoned Legal Professional having more than 16 years’ experience in Legal arena. Prior to joining Heidelberg Materials group, he worked for Nestle Bangladesh PLC. for nearly 8 years. In 2008 He started his Career after he enrolled himself as an Advocate in Bangladesh BAR Council. His Corporate Journey started with TRANSCOM Limited in 2009. He is also an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Mr. Khan completed his LL.B (Hon’s) and LL.M (Master of Laws) from University of Chittagong. He also achieved his Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) with distinction from Bangladesh Institute of Management.
